Ryhia tells a story through each of her works; my paintings are storywork. Gudanji / Wakaja people told stories through pattern and design – I call my storying: nardurna. It means woman in my language. This design is called My Country. This painting is a close up of the ground that I walked over on country, while on the way to my sacred site.
