Ryhia tells a story through each of her works; my paintings are storywork. Gudanji / Wakaja people told stories through pattern and design – I call my storying: nardurna. It means woman in my language. This design is called Hills. The Hills and Freshwater, I have covered the back landscape in spinifex to remind us that there are challenges in life.
