Introducing our July Artist of the Month: Hayley Pearson

Hayley was born and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory and has since made a home in Broome, Western Australia where much of her family now reside. They come from the Bardi Jawi people from the top of the Dampier Peninsula in One Arm Point. Her unique style characterised by vibrant colour play, movements and shaping is a reflection of how she expresses her rich story and knowledge.
Her NAIDOC gift card designs embody this year's NAIDOC Week theme - Keep the Fire Burning! Blak Loud & Proud. The Generations - Card.Gift card intricately portrays her past and the generations that came before her. Inspired by the earth, this gift card is a raw yet playful representation of connections of people from past, present, future and emerging.
She incorporated soft tones of pink and purple in the Lineage - Mastercard design. This gift card is an ode to generations of women whom we are connected to both physically and spiritually. Lastly, the Peaks - eftpos gift card represents life's movements and patterns. As Hayley puts it, "Life is never a straight line and will always have bumps, humps and new directions. Take every opportunity that comes your way as you never know what is around the corner."This NAIDOC Week, we have partnered with GIVIT in support of their First Nations Support Program. GIVIT brings encourages networks to 'give smarter' by directing the donation of goods and funds directly to a charity's needs.
With a portion of each of Hayley's gift cards going to GIVIT's First Nations Support Program, we are contributing to making the lives of First Nations Australians better. GIVIT aid in improving access to health services, everyday necessities and basic resources to those living in remote regions of the country.
