Introducing our March Artist of the Month: Neryl Walker
Neryl's style is instantly recognisable, featuring vibrant colours, strong lines, and a sense of movement that draws the viewer in. Neryl's work features strong women and celebrates femininity and diversity.
That’s why this year we approached Neryl to create our annual International Women's Day gift card. This year’s theme being "Cracking the Code- Innovation for a Gender Equal Future," Neryl wanted to show the progression of technology and innovation in a highly feminine, stylised way. Her design features a woman with her hair forming a thought bubble, representing the idea of moving onwards and upwards and looking to a brighter, more inclusive future. The woman is depicted in a pastel colour palette and adorned with floral motifs, symbolising the feminine energy and growth that is integral to innovation and progress.
Neryl's design encapsulates the essence of the 2022 International Women's Day theme, highlighting the importance of empowering women to harness their innovative abilities and break down the barriers to a more gender-equal future. Her use of vibrant colours and florals also reflects the optimism and hope that underpins the theme, reminding us that together, we can create a world where women have equal opportunities to pursue their passions, contribute their skills, and lead with purpose.
