Weerreeyarr means 'Woman’s Spirit' in Peek Whurrong language. Artist Bayley (Merindah-Gunya) says, 'this artwork represents my great granny Amy. Granny was a passionate, powerful and courageous woman. She always stayed true to who she was, despite what happened to our people back then. I have courage because of her. For my Elders.'
